After getting caught in the crossfire of the big Microsoft layoffs, leading to its new IP getting gutted, ZeniMax Online Studios hasn’t been deterred and still wants to work on something new.
Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Nick Giacomini and Rich Lambert spoke about the studio and not wanting to put all their eggs in one basket while assuring fans that they haven’t lost sight in making Elder Scrolls Online “that 30-year MMO.”
Meanwhile, Lambert specifically notes his desire to make more games, something the canceled Blackbird was supposed to fill. Unfortunately, all this is really up to Microsoft’s decision if they want to introduce a new IP from the studio or keep it relegated to online experiences, specifically the Elder Scrolls MMO.
“I want to make more games […] I’m not done yet, and the team continues to want to make more games as well.
I have lots of ideas. Hopefully we’ll be able to share those at some point.”
