While Pragmata has you running around as Hugh, you’ll need to complete a hacking minigame in order to damage enemies. We can only imagine hand-eye coordination needs to be on-point.
Following Pragmata‘s showcase appearance at the recent State of Play, VGC (thanks, PSX Extreme) was given access to a 20-minute demo to give them a taste. Turns out while movement is done and the range of enemies are avoided, you’ll have to complete a hacking minigame that appears on the left of your screen.
Based on the preview, it’s a snake-like grid minigame where you connect nodes from A to B. It sounds simple enough, though it sounds like some of the enemies (and their minigame) will have be harder than others.
To add to the difficulty, you also can’t just spam a single weapon you like; they will eventually break and a replacement will need to be obtained. It’s not clear how you’ll come across replacements, but frankly, it’ll probably just be through the environment.
