Xbox isn’t going anywhere, and it seems like it has some really big plans on the hardware front. We’re not sure what this new hardware is — be it a console refresh or perhaps even an attempt at getting ahead of Sony with its next generation, but we’ll hear more during the holiday season.
During the recent episode of the Official Xbox Podcast, president Sarah Bond revealed there will be some exciting news on the hardware front, indicating that, no, Microsoft isn’t exiting the hardware market just because it’s releasing some of its first-party games to competing platforms.
This exciting hardware development is supposedly going to deliver the “largest technical leap you have ever seen in a hardware generation.” It’s supposedly going to be better for players, creators, and the “visions that they’re building.”
“There’s some exciting stuff coming out in hardware that we’re going to share this holiday, and we’re also invested in the next-generation roadmap.
And what we’re really focused on there is delivering the largest technical leap you will have ever seen in a hardware generation, which makes it better for players, and better for creators and the visions that they’re building.”
