ZeniMax Online Studios United, the union that reps ZeniMax, has commented on the massive layoffs that hit Microsoft earlier in the month.
In a statement (via IGN), they addressed that the teams were not laid off, rather the team working on the canceled MMO remain employed, but it’s also worth noting that they are still working on bargaining with Xbox on what to do next.
You may know this round of layoffs as the cause of Everwild and Perfect Dark getting canned, but it had more ripples within the industry, such as Romeo Games eyeing other companies to help fund their new shooter, which was originally backed by Xbox.
