Xbox Staffer Uses AI To Promote Openings In Graphics Department

In probably one of the most ill-timed job promotions out there, Xbox has been caught clearly using an AI image to promote job openings within its graphics department. Of note, the official openings don’t have the same cringey image, as this seemed to be more of a staffer sharing that the company they’re working for is hiring, but still, not a great look.

On LinkedIn (via IGN), Xbox’s graphics department lead, Mike Matsel, shared that the team is hiring, but people were quick to latch onto the image used to promote it as it was very clearly AI. The biggest tell was the monitor, which had code plastered on the back of the monitor.

This weird choice from the department’s lead even more so a bad look as not too long ago Microsoft wiped around 9,000 people from their payroll, which included killing Rare’s Everwild and The Initiative’s Perfect Dark.
