Xbox Series S Games Should “Easily Port” To Switch 2

While even the Xbox Series S is more powerful than Nintendo’s latest console, 60FPS games can certainly be ported.

In an interview with Wccftech, Black Shamrock, a Virtuos subsidiary, technical director, Eoin O’Grady stated the Xbox console has a slightly beefier GPU, but notably, Nintendo’s offering has a leg up on the system with DLSS support.

“GPU-wise, the Switch 2 performs slightly below the Series S; this difference is more noticeable in handheld mode. However, the Series S does not support technologies like DLSS, which the Switch 2 does. This makes the GPU capabilities of the two consoles comparable overall.”

Now, while O’Grady gave a bout of good news for Switch 2 owners, games with “complex physics, animations, or other CPU-intensive elements” will chug or require extra optimization to get it running to the best of its ability.

The Series S, while not as popular as its beefier big brother, Series X, has proven useful for some developers to best optimize their game, such as Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
