The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Passes 9 Million Players

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Bethesda and Virtuos’ botched shadowdrop remaster of a bona fide classic, has surpassed nine million players since its launch three months ago.

On social media, Bethesda shared the news with a graphic of the ever-hated Adoring Fan. Of course, much like most first-party Xbox games, they’re putting a focus on the players of the game, as we know deep in the back of our mind, there’s a lot of people who simply played Oblivion Remastered on Game Pass.

To everyone who emerged as a hero of Kvatch, mastered Arch-Mage, rose to Grand Champion, banished the Blackwood Company, gallivanted as the Gray Fox, and listened to the Night. Thank you for sharing in our worlds. ❤️

To be clear, though, it did sell well, becoming the best-selling game of April, with a physical release slated for October. Meanwhile, though, Virtuous faces layoffs.

What do you think? Did you or are you enjoying the remaster? Did you kick the Adoring Fan off the cliff? Let us know below!
