Grounded 2 is available now across Xbox and PC as a Game Preview/Early Access title. Right now, it’s solely available on Xbox Series and PC with full Xbox Anywhere support, meaning you can boot your game up on your Series X and then move over to your Xbox PC with total cross-save functionality.
When Can I Play Grounded 2?
Grounded 2 is available to play right now for $29.99 for its standard edition. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscriber, you can get the game right off the bat free of any additional charge. Unfortunately, those subscribed to the more recently introduced Xbox Game Pass Standard tier do not get that day one release perk.

Will Grounded 2 Have Spiders?
Trust us, as some people around here have a touch of arachnophobia, the knowledge of a game with spiders does give us the creeps, but it’s tied to Grounded, so yes, Grounded 2 does have spiders. But, don’t let that spoil the fun, as Obsidian has brought forward their arachnophobia mode from the previous entry.
This mode will change the spiders, including the newly introduced rideables, which does, in fact, include a spider, into less scary balloon-like animals.

What Does This Mean For Grounded?
To be frank, it’s not all doom and gloom for original Grounded, as while it was cast aside in favor of a sequel due to limitations Obsidian faced while adding new content, it won’t just shut down. You can rest easy knowing that while the game isn’t going to receive any new content, it will remain online for fans who want the experience the OG adventure.
