XBOX Tops Active Matter Player Base
It’s by no means a secret that XBOX takes up the smallest percentage of the console market share, trailing behind both PlayStation and Nintendo. That said, once in a blue moon, the console manages to outdo the others in player bases and it seems like that’s the case for Matter Team and Gaijin Entertainment’s Active Matter.
Per Gaijin (via Pure Xbox), the game topped 500,000 sales since it launched last month, with “Xbox currently representing the largest share of Active Matter players.” Half a million is a solid number, especially for a new IP releasing around the same time as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and a slurry of Battlefield 6 updates.
In case Active Matter slipped through the cracks for you — like it did for me — it’s a realistic extraction shooter military sim with PvPvE (as well as PvE) modes, similar to something like Arc Raiders, set in a fractured universe inspired by the SCP Foundation.
It’s also one of the few games published by Gaijin, who are responsible for War Thunder, Crossout, and Enlisted, that’s a paid product.
