Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerWhile not confirmed, journalist Jeff Grubb is asserting that Xbox has delayed “a big game” that was once poised for a 2025 release. In its place, we’ll get The Outer Worlds 2.
During a Giant Bomb livestream, Grubb claimed a mysterious game was delayed into 2026. Perfect Dark is named as possibly the title he’s talking about, but if that’s the case, it doesn’t matter all that much since the game’s release window has never been confirmed.
That said, is’s all-too-possible to be another one of Microsoft’s big IPs, after all, we have plenty to look forward to. We’ve got South of Midnight, Doom: The Dark Ages, Gears of War: E-Day, and — frankly, one of the more likely of delays — Fable.
This should, as with any rumor, be taken with a grain of salt, while Grubb has a strong track record, it’s not like he couldn’t be getting fed half-truth info.
