Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerXbox is hosting a new Developer Direct suspiciously amid claims of first-party games releasing to other platforms. Many expect Tango Gameworks’ stealth drop, Hi-Fi Rush, to release on the Switch, while others anticipate Rare’s successful live-service fare, Sea of Thieves, finding new homes on the Switch and PlayStation family.
On the Xbox Wire, editor Joe Skrebels revealed that fans will get an inside look at the upcoming Game Pass offerings, with The Elder Scrolls Online 2024 Global Reveal shortly after. Primarily, this seems on the surface to be a showcase of the upcoming games Xbox is working on as the year’s ticked over. Namely, the Indiana Jones game, Avowed, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and Ara: History Untold are directly mentioned.
This might be how Xbox will showcase the alleged ports, but we’re not totally convinced. It’s not out of the realm of possibility, but we don’t have long to wait, as the showcase will drop on January 18 at 12 PM PST.
