More games are making their leave from Xbox Game Pass this May, with five standouts heading out the door on May 31, 2025.
Cassette Beasts
Released to consoles in 2023, Cassette Beasts is a mishmash of tons of different ideas ranging from a cozy music-addled RPG to a creature collector with fusion mechanics. Frankly, if you like turn-based action with a cutsey undertone, you may like this, so be sure to give it a shot before it goes away from Game Pass.
Firework (Xbox For PC)
Perhaps you’re more of a puzzle person, well, Shiying Studio has you covered with their Chinese horror puzzler, Firework. Following a funeral fire, police reopen a since shut massacre case. Doused in a watercolor style, players can expect to look around the Chinese mountain village as the victims’ pasts unfold.
HUMANITY
Guide a massive crowd of people to solve puzzles in Enhance Games’ HUMANITY. Control a shiba inu guiding NPCs to solve puzzles in this real-time strategy title.
Remnant 2
Gunfire Games and Gearbox Software teamed up back in 2023 to introduce the world to Remnant 2, an action RPG co-op shooter that, at the time of release, received a fair bit of praise. The game’s also seen support as recently as late 2024, though, it’s unclear if any more support will be given to the game.
Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath
Big Z Studios’ first-person shooter Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath is last to come down from the line. Billed as a boomer shooter, it offers up a revenge tale as players take the role of Zane looking to avenge his family and mentor and save X-Slayer Steffanie from the clutches of the Psyko Sindikate.
