The Future Of Xbox Exclusives

It’s no secret that in recent years Xbox lacks the same amount of exclusives that PlayStation has, as Microsoft prioritizes accessibility to games rather than focusing on the games themselves. This is demonstrated through their constant support for Game Pass and cloud streaming services.

Many have speculated that this expansion and push for Xbox games to be played anywhere will lead to them being released on PlayStation and even the Nintendo Switch. With the recent news of Forza Horizon 5 being released on PS5, players are questioning if Xbox will even have exclusives going forward.

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer recently did an interview on the Destin YouTube channel discussing the future of Xbox.

“Our games shipping on multiple platforms is a good thing for Xbox, it makes Xbox stronger.”

The next question is, what Xbox exclusive will be next to join PlayStation? The next logical step would have to be either Halo or Gears of War, with heavy speculation that Halo the Master Chief Collection will be next. There also have been rumors of a Gears of War Collection that would make its way over to PlayStation as well. Finally, there’s Gears E-Day which very well could also be released on PlayStation day one, however, nothing is confirmed at this stage, all we can do is wait for the June showcases.

Many fans are split on how they feel about these games possibly moving to PlayStation. Some are praising this decision as it allows more players to experience these amazing games for the first time. However, others now question if there’s even a point in owning an Xbox anymore.

What do you think, is this a good or bad move for Xbox? Let us know below
