Bethesda’s latest RPG, Starfield, has found itself in the running for two different awards at this year’s D.I.C.E. Awards. The game has fallen on some hard times, with a rather lukewarm reception from fans.
The page showcasing the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards nominees is live, with first-party Xbox games Forza Motorsport and Hi-Fi Rush also on the list of possible winners. The winners will be revealed on February 15 during the D.I.C.E. Summit. While Starfield failed to capture many of the awards it’s sought, with Baldur’s Gate 3 often stamping it out, it’s been nominated for both the RPG Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction.
It admittedly faces an uphill battle with Baldur’s Gate 3, Diablo 4, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and Final Fantasy 16 all contenders for the RPG award. Meanwhile, Alan Wake 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are Starfield’s competition for Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction.
