Final Fantasy VII Remake is heading to Xbox under the title Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade next year.
During the latest Nintendo Direct, Square Enix revealed not only is it heading to the Switch 2, but it’s also heading to Xbox Series X|S after five years of waiting. It’s also Xbox Play Anywhere compatible, so just buying it once on Xbox or PC will let you play it on the other, as well.
This announcement should come as no surprise, as the Japanese dev has open about veering away from console exclusivity and has been slowly but surely bringing titles over to other platforms and releasing new games to other platforms at launch.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade hits Xbox (and Switch 2) on January 22, 2026.
