Baldur’s Gate 3 planned to release for Xbox in December

Larian Studios has announced Baldur’s Gate 3 is on track for a release in December. Further details are to be revealed at The Game Awards later this year.

Coming from the official Larian Twitter account, Xbox players will no longer be left in the dark. So far, Baldur’s Gate 3 is only available on PC and PlayStation 5, with numerous rumours the game will launch on Xbox. Publishing Director Michael Douse notably stated on Twitter that “we’ll know the release date once we’re confident in the release version.”

The Game Awards streams on December 7, with Larian Studios possibly saving an announcement if they win Game of the Year, as fans have prophesied. Regardless, Larian plans to launch Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox at least before 2024. Launching on Xbox will grant Larian a massive number of players, allowing and giving more incentive to work on future content.
