Xbox Turned Into Top Game Publisher In World Last Month

Thanks to Xbox’s strong two games at the tail-end of 2024, the game maker turned into the top game publisher in the world. Nearly half a billion was spent on games last month alone.

Ampere data shared by VGC (via Pure Xbox) shows $465 million was spent on Xbox games, with over half being those on PlayStation, and in a not-so-shocking turn of events, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 leads the charge alongside Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Meanwhile, EA, which often has huge numbers, marked $366 million in the same period. Look, as much as some Xbox peeps might not be too keen on the multiplat strategy Xbox is well into rolling out, the numbers speak for themselves and what it’s saying is they”re financially benefiting from releasing to other hardware.
