Xbox May Face Major Job Cuts

Word on the street is there’s a company-wide reorganization happening at Xbox, which may lead to major job cuts. At this time, it’s not clear how many will be affected.

A Bloomberg report (via Eurogamer) alleges the cuts will begin next week, but isn’t sure how many people will be affected.

Microsoft, as a whole, has been having a rough time keeping staff numbers up, with Microsoft culling 1,900 people part of their video game teams, laid off back in January 2024, 650 people laid off in September 2024, as well as some layoffs back in January of this year, as well as 3% of Microsoft’s staff culled back in May.
