Several Xbox 360 games are going to see its online services shuttering in the near future, as Ubisoft does another round of cleanup. We aren’t surprised that these older games are getting the online boot, but nonetheless, it’s still disappointing.
Ubisoft announced the news on its website with a list of affected games, including three classic Xbox 360-era titles — Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassin’s Creed II, and Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD. Of course, the multiplayer was only really an addition, so those who purchased these games won’t be locked out entirely, just locked out of online features.
Ubi earmarked January 25, 2024, as the date these games will see online services shuttering.
