“This Platform Fosters That Hate,” Halo Co-Creator On Campaign Evolved Hate

Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto has come forward to assert that the hate Halo is receiving with the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved is overblown.

While Lehto has his own gripes around the game, he notes that he does “really love the upgrades,” highlighting that the “lighting is brilliant.” When talking about the hate that it’s been getting from some people online, he notes that social media — especially Twitter — “fosters that hate” and isn’t really indicative of your average player.

Been slowly playing through Campaign Evolved on Heroic (the diff we designed the game for 25 years ago).
Overall, I really love the upgrades – movement, cinematics, visuals – damn the lighting is brilliant.

Frankly, a lot of the discourse found online is — as normal — pretty mind-numbing stuff that’ll be forgotten in a couple weeks anyway.
