The Outer Worlds 2 Marks Xbox’s First $80 Game

Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds 2 is Xbox’s first $80 game. Here’s hoping it’s a better transition than its first $70 game.

During the large-scale Xbox Games Showcase, which was followed up by a deeper look into The Outer Worlds 2 and Grounded 2, both of which releases this year, tallying Obsidian’s release lineup to three this year alone. Some things that were confirmed, though, were its price and release date.

Earlier in the year, alongside price hiking their consoles, Xbox touched on moving forward with releasing select games at $79.99, following in Nintendo’s footsteps. Now, we know that The Outer Worlds 2 is their first attempt at this new price point.
