Jesse O'NeilMarvel Rivals first major update is coming soon, with the introduction of the Fantastic Four as playable characters. A trailer releases later today showcasing The Thing, Mister Fantastic, The Human Torch, and The Invisible Woman.
Marvel Rivals developer NetEase shared this news on their X account with an image revealing the first look of the characters.
The Fantastic Four will be released alongside Season 1, which most likely will drop sometime next week as suggested by the in-game battle pass timer. However, this will be confirmed in the upcoming trailer. We can also expect more things to be revealed in the trailer, such as new maps, skins, and a new battle pass.
Marvel Rivals is doing extremely well for NetEase and shows no signs of slowing down just yet. The total player count hit 10 million in just three days of release and is currently averaging around 400,000 players daily on Steam, and has even beaten out Helldivers 2 and Grand Theft Auto 5 for a higher concurrent player count, ranking at number 20. These numbers are sure to skyrocket with the release of Season 1, bringing in new and returning players.
