After many rumors and I’ll say a teeny tiny bit of waiting, Bethesda has finally confirmed the name of the next mainline entry to The Elder Scrolls. May I introduce to you, The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.

Finally, confirming the title in this video featuring a sand-buried object, something looks like a hammer even, the video is short, sweet, and to the point.

It even all-but confirms Hammerfell as the new location, what with the object looking like a hammer and as it caps off with a quote from Yazar to Hammerfell’s High Queen Iradne. That said, it’s also not totally confirmed. It’s also all-but confirmed to take place a couple years after Skyrim in 4E 206.

Unfortunately, now it’s back to waiting until more info drops, but I have a strong hunch, we won’t be waiting another few years for a new trailer. Perhaps it’ll be part of an Xbox Game Showcase in 2027.

Before going Team Blue, Gabe filled his time playing Halo 3, Fable 2, Gears of War, and whatever demo he could get his hands on.
