Hyperkin, a company known for bringing back the original Xbox controller known as The Duke (2018) on modern consoles, is releasing “The Competitor,” an Xbox controller with a DualSense layout with symmetrical thumbsticks.
To put it simply, this Xbox controller is made to look like a PS5 controller in color and layout.
For some, this product will provide gamers with the best of both worlds — the PS5 feel on great Xbox classics, letting people experience the entire Xbox Game Pass library while giving those coming from PS5 a controller they are more familiar with.
The price for the Competitor hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s expected to arrive in 2025. It includes two remappable back buttons for those looking for a more pro feel and will feature Hall effect joysticks and triggers, which are more resistant to stick drift.
