Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerDeveloper Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone has shared a new feature that could be making it to Stardew Valley in its upcoming 1.6 update… or it could be a feature found in The Haunted Chocolatier. Soon, you will be able to place a hat on your kitty… or pupper.
On Twitter, Barone shared the info with a simple post captioned “Hats on cats (and dogs)” alongside four images of your companion donning a range of hats. At this point, he hasn’t said which game features this feline and canine-centered feature, but some pointed out how some of the hats and wallpaper match stuff found in Stardew Valley, so we suspect it’s either for that game or perhaps both.
This feature even made competition antsy, with Terraria developer Cinx jokingly bargaining with Barone on Twitter to DM them the release of the update in exchange for a release date for 1.4.5, which is set to feature a bunch of new features and improvements.
