The rumor mill is churning again as inklings of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 surfaces via a new report.

Rumor has it DICE and Respawn Entertainment are teaming up to develop Star Wars: Battlefront 3. I don’t know if everyone would agree here, but this seems like a match made in heaven. DICE already has a connection to the Battlefront IP, having developed the reboot and its sequel, but accompanying them, Respawn has additional FPS experience thanks to their continued work on Apex Legends.

Despite content having stopped back in 2020, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 lobbies remain pretty active, showing both dedication to the game, as well as the IP itself. This news no doubt has also probably increased interest in the rebooted titles, as well as the remade originals.

The original Star Wars: Battlefront and its sequel were early-mid-2000s hits. Meanwhile, despite a rocky launch, the reboot and its sequel have remained in the hearts of gamers.
