PSN’s Down, Is Xbox Down, Too?
As you may or not be aware, PlayStation Network is suffering from a major outage worldwide. What started as a normal day until around 6 PM ET, servers went dark and fans were left equally in the dark.
Since then Sony has addressed the issue on social media, pointing people to their status page promising that they are working on fixing the problem. But, us Xbox users aren’t concerned as the real question is this — was Xbox affected?
Is Xbox Down?
Xbox servers are totally operational, this appears to be an outage solely on Sony’s side, where accounts can’t be logged into, games can’t be purchased, and for many (some reports indicate some can) downloading is unavailable.
While we hope Team Blue gets their servers back up in a fairly timely manner. A large amount of people fear that this will be a repeat of the 2011 outage that occurred, which lasted a whopping 24 days. There’s no indicator that this is anything more than a simple outage, right now.
