New The Elder Scrolls Online Content Delayed

It’s already well-established that the whole XBOX Reset has hit the studios hard, while not every one has faced closure or game cuts, delays were inevitable. This is exactly what happened to new content slated for The Elder Scrolls Online.

New content, specifically the Crimson Veldt, Update 52, and the Class and Combat refresh are all now marked down for 2027, with Update 52 earmarked for January. Luckily, the layoffs haven’t led to the studio delaying content from Season 1 and Season 2, which might be a good tie over for the next big one.

Fans will still get to experience The Nowhere Vault challenge, the Rumor system, and a slurry of quality-of-life experiences planned for late September. The rest will run as normal.

Frankly, I’m glad that ESO isn’t getting hit too hard here. But, I’d imagine the studio simply is too big to end up facing too much action here, especially with their live service offering.

Before going Team Blue, Gabe filled his time playing Halo 3, Fable 2, Gears of War, and whatever demo he could get his hands on.
