Microsoft Made A Red Ring Of Death Christmas Sweater

Microsoft introduced a new sweater to its employee store, a Red Ring of Death Christmas sweater complete with an interchangeable module that can cause illuminated lights paying homage to the infamous Red Ring of Death.

The Verge reports on the item, which proved very popular, already selling out in the day that it went on sale. Since the Xbox 360 error surfaced in 2005, it’s quickly spread as this infamous icon in gaming intrinsically linked to Xbox. While it was a bad thing, costing Xbox $1.15 billion to repair every system, it’s since become part of its brand in some way.

The ugly Christmas sweater is a multi-tone green sweater with the 360 power button on the chest that lights up. Frankly, we won’t lie; it’s pretty cool in an ugly Christmas sweater sort of way. Notably, due to it’s popularity, it’s all-too-possible Microsoft might extend this sweater to more than just staff here in the near future.
