Gears of War fans rejoice as it sounds like a Gears of War collection is heading our way. Allegedly, it’s in the testing phase, so frankly, we expect some sort of reveal sometime this year.
Idle Sloth on Twitter alleges that The Gears Collection is moving past development, with its games all finished and in the process of internal playtesting. It all kicked off following an episode of The Infinite Podcast where it was brought up. While info is scarce, it’s supposedly going to include Ultimate Edition, 2, 3, 4, and Judgement, all either rebuilt or remastered from its OG version.
If you’re more interested in more relevant projects, Ninja Theory hasn’t stopped working on its new IP, Project Mara. Of course, this is all just a rumor, but it has been some time since fans got a dose of Gears of War and while Microsoft may have COD at its disposal, the more absurd shooter might still make waves if re-released.
(FYI) According to @Middleagegamegy, The Gears Collection is being internally tested by The Coalition
The build is finished and the game testers are currently playing it now
