Earlier in the year, (most) fans were treated to a spiritual successor to Star Fox 64, that being Wild Blue Skies, I only say mostly because Switch players are still waiting. That said, us XBOX peeps have a new successor on the horizon — FUR Squadron Phoenix.

Released back in February, this Raptor Claw-developed successor is spreading its jet wings beyond PC and the Nintendo Switch to come to the Xbox Series X|S this December, as confirmed by the dev over on social media.

Beyond the slurry of updates available from the get-go, XBOX owners are also treated to two exclusive skins, those being Kiro’s Master Ship, which dons a design inspired by Master Chief, and Axel’s 360 Ship, which is reminiscent of the Xbox 360.

FUR Squadron Phoenix will be available on Xbox Series consoles on December 6, 2026.

Before going Team Blue, Gabe filled his time playing Halo 3, Fable 2, Gears of War, and whatever demo he could get his hands on.
