Cyberleek Threatens To Leak Fully Playable GTA VI Build
There’s no way you haven’t heard of Cyberleek at this point, a leaker group who have been on a rampage sharing clips and details about the hotly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, which is set to release next month. The latest in development appears to be them threatening to leak a fully playable build of the game.
Unfortunately for Rockstar, they still haven’t been able to track down this crypto-peddling leaker down and with this new threat, which is effectively Cyberleek calling on those who want to see the game leak to get their crypto coin to a $30 million market cap before they will leak the build, which includes the story from start to finish.
The initial intention behind Cyberleek’s escapade was due to Rockstar deciding to release the game as a digital-only experience, at least few the first few months. There’s speculation that the hour of footage that they’ve shared is actually an older build, though, and this whole “start to finish” build is a bluff.
Now, to me, this has gone from an (illegal) way to protest the digital-only future and the fact Rockstar was contributing to it into a get-rich-quick scheme, which rubs me the wrong way even more than it already did.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026.
