Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 Removes Skill-Based Matchmaking

Skill-based matchmaking is a thing of the past… at least with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. That’s right Activision is listening to fans who cry out their desire to see skill-based matchmaking go away.

In its BO7 beta patch notes, Activision addressed that open matchmaking will be the default for servers similar to the beta’s Open Moshpit mode. This change is no doubt a good change for those who haven’t liked the matchmaking experience since 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot, which introduced skill-based matchmaking.

“At launch, Open Matchmaking with minimal skill consideration will be the default for Black Ops 7 Multiplayer. Simply put, imagine the matchmaking experience of Open Moshpit from the Beta, but as the standard in Black Ops 7 on day one.”

Are you excited for the change? Does this mean you’re more likely to hop onto Call of Duty: Black Ops 7? Let us know below!
