Planned for release on April 30, it appears fans will have to wait a little longer before experiencing Jonathan Blow’s Braid again with improved graphics, sounds, and commentary. Don’t worry, though, it’s only two more weeks.
In a press release, it was revealed the game’s been delayed, though no official reason was given, we assume some stuff had to be worked out. With the unfortunate news, though, came some pretty sweet news, too.
The anniversary edition, which was revealed back in 2020, will arrive with 40 brand-new levels and a new frame to piece together with the 16 new puzzle pieces. These new levels range from 14 (or 15 on mobile) index commentary levels, 12 alternate level design levels bundled together with explanatory commentary, and 13 totally new puzzle levels.
This isn’t counting the new stuff like the already established improvements that we come to expect from an anniversary edition of its caliber.
While Team Blue gets the game a day early on May 15, us Xbox players can play it on May 16.
