Blizzard Art Director Retires After Over 3 Decades

Blizzard Art Director Samwise Didier has revealed that he is retiring from his post at Blizzard Entertainment after 32 years at the company.

In a statement made on Twitter, Didier expresses the great times he had over the last three decades. He expresses how he “learned almost everything” he knows about art there, from using a computer to Photoshop to 3D modeling, it was all at Blizzard that it clicked.

Didier is among the big ones at the company, having started in 1991 and having his work featured back when the studio was Silicon & Synapse.

It isn’t clear what’s next for him, but we anticipate Didier will focus a bit more on his YouTube channel with his extra free time.
