Xbox might be looking at reworking its Achievements system, which pioneered this kind of culture since the 360 days. It’s unclear what changes could be made, but we wouldn’t say changes wouldn’t be welcome.
Industry insider Nick Baker, during an episode of the XboxEra Podcast, alleges that an overhaul is coming this year, but is unsure what will change. This isn’t just some unfounded rumor, though, as Xbox boss Phil Spencer spoke with Windows Central about modifying the Achievements system as recently as last month.
We wouldn’t be that shocked if this is something of a Q4 venture for Microsoft, but we’ll have to wait and see.
