Atari today announced Test Drive Unlimited for the XBOX360, a game that not only reinforces our love affair with cars—but also adds the element of motorcycles to the mix.
Players will be able to choose from over 125 officially-licensed vehicles from manufacturers like Lamborghini and Saleen as they race through over 1,000 miles of Hawaiian roads. The vehicles are said to have amazing interior detail, including working radios, horns, wipers, electric windows, and more. Players will also be able to use money earned from races for buying homes and garages, as well as customizing their vehicles using items from the actual manufacturer’s catalog.
Test Drive Unlimited will have a major focus on the online element, promising monthly additions of new race challenges, winnable clothing, upgrade parts, vehicles, and more. A community aspect is also being touted as players from all over can create their own clubs and run their own competitions and tournaments.
We don’t know much more as of yet, but Test Drive Unlimited seems to have lots of promise. We’ll be on the lookout for this one, although a release window or date has not been confirmed as of yet.
