Sega Shows Two Each For XBOX, XBOX360

SEGA took the wraps off of their E3 showcase today, unveiling two games each for the XBOX and XBOX360. Both of SEGA’s XBOX360 games– Condemned: Criminal Origins and Full Auto– will be completely original, while the XBOX will see the solo debut of Shadow the Hedgehog and will let players experience the ferocity of Rome with Spartan: Total Warrior.
Condemned challenges players to hunt down a serial killer. Melee combat, weapons-based combat, forensics, and instincts will be part of this experience, which is being developed by Monolith Productions. The game will be presented in a first-person perspective and is said to be a very creepy experience.
Full Auto, SEGA’s other XBOX360 title, combines racing with combat in what’s shaping up to be a full-on action game. Players will be able to choose from various car designs and arm their vehicles with some truly awesome weaponry with which to assault their opponents. There’s also an interesting element called Unwrecking, which is said to be able to rescue players from some tight spots.
Shadow The Hedgehog will attempts to combine the high-speed action that players have come to expect from SEGA’s earlier Sonic The Hedgehog titles and some intense third-person shooting action. The game also promises to let players decide whether Shadow becomes a hero or a villain. Details have been slowly leaking about this game, but E3 will fill in a lot of missing puzzle pieces regarding this game.
Lastly, SEGA is bringing Spartan: Total Warrior to the XBOX. This action game will pit one man—The Spartan—against incredible odds in some truly awesome cinematic battle sequences. In fact, the game is said to be able to present more than 170 warriors on-screen at once.
All of these games will be showcased at E3, and we’ll be checking them out when the show kicks off next week.
