Xbox Nerds ArchiveAt their press conference, Microsoft confirmed backwards compatibility for the hottest selling Xbox games. The comments have confused a number of people, as Microsoft’s wording was far too vague to interpret. In addition, this may come as a blow to those who have enjoyed the various cult favorite Xbox titles that didn’t quite sell accordingly. Though, reports suggest that the 360 will be able to play every 2005 Xbox release, so all doesn’t seem too bad. Regardless, it remains to be seen as to exactly what Microsoft’s plans are with backwards compatibility; hey, at least we know that both Halo games will run.
